Anniversary Card for Friends in UK

This is a GYPSY File.

Cartridges used:
Fabulous Finds
Storybook

I cut the Butterfly corners from Storybook, using the paper I had on the inside.  Then I stickled them.  Used some home made glimmer mist and also distressed the edges a bit.  I used a Spellbinders die for the centre portion and stamped it with a butterfly, then heat embossed it.  The colours weren't to my liking, so used some markers to brighten a bit.

Would love to see what you make if you use this cut and would also love your comments.

Please click on the front of the card to download the file.

First B-day Card for DGD

This is a GYPSY file

Cartridges used:
Mickey & Friends
Gypsy Font.

I distressed the edges of this card to downplay the white background a bit.

Please click on the front of the card to download.

Would love to see what you do with this file and would love your comments too.

We don't get to see our little sweetie very often as she lives a 2 day drive away. We made the journey once with our 17 year old dog and it was a very tiring trip!

Fathers Day Card for DH

This is a GYPSY File

Cartridges used:
Camp out
George
GS
PS

There is a story behind this card....we had a bear on our deck, on the picnic table and were interviewed by the local TV station which showed some of the video that my DH had taken!

I used glossy accents on Happy Fathers Day and the Fish.  I made a mat with a fish blackout around the edge.  Inked the fish after they had been cut out and stuck them back on with pop dots.  I had seen this done with a Spellbinders die, but done with flowers. I didn't think the flowers were too appropriate for a masculine card, so tried it with the fish.  It really looks quite neat when you see the actual card!

Anniversary Card for DH

This is a gypsy file

Cartridges used:
Plantin Schoolbook
George
Wild card

You can't really see it here, but I used Glossy Accents on the flower (like rain drops) and the "8th".  I distressed  the edges with a darker green.  I didn't get a picture of the inside, but it has the lettering "You&Me Forever"  I cut the card  twice, the inside being a lighter green than the outside.  You can make any embellishment for the front that you want to, and of course change to your number for the centre of the flower :-)

4" DESIGNER CALENDAR GRID BUT MADE IN PS.

I don't have the Designers Calendar cartridge (yet..lol) and wanted the 4" grid, so I copied it with PS.  If you would like the cut file please click on the picture to the left

6" SQUARE ORNAMENT BOX (or any other use you may have for it.

Cartridges used:

  • Plantin Schoolbook
  • Storybook

Tip:  Use Bazzil or Co'rdinations paper as they are sturdier that regular paper.

This box needs the E to cut.  Cut out the bottom and the lid.  The score lines are self explanatory, I have not marked.   I made this box to put in a Spellbinders Pendant ornament I made and decorated the sides and the top with off cuts and matching borderabilities.  I used acetate for the lid opening, you can change the shape or remove the cut out altogether. I would love to see what you use this file for.

I have had some requests for a tutorial for the ornament inside my box.  I am not very good at explaining things, but I have given it a try.  Please click here to go to the tutorial

LARGE DAHLIA CUT

Cartridges used:

  • Plantin Scgoolbook
  • GBS

This flower is about 3" across.  We planted Dahlia's this year and I liked them so much I decided to make a cut file of them.

Instructions:

  • Cut the 3 flower layers and distress them a bit with chalk to get some shading.
  • Score lightly down the centre of each petal and slightly fold towards the centre
  • Gently curl each petal BACKWARDS and then glue together.
  • Cut the centre and remove from the mat very carefully.
  • Curl all the pieces tightly in towards the centre.
  • Roll into a very tight ball and glue the ends.
  • Bend the bottom in towards the centre, if it won't bend make a few small cuts, then glue to the centre

Enjoy!

Simple Fathers Day slider card - Baby Bug compatible.

Cartridges:
George, Plantin & WIMG

Supplies: 2 different colours Co'ordinations
Stickers of your choice
Glossy Accents for the "water".
2 pop dots
Instructions: Glue the bottom front onto the background front.
Glue these 2 pieces to the card back making sure you get the glue very close to the edge.  I used a GlueDots continuous line.  If you don't get the glue right at the edge, the slider won't go in!
Put the Pop Dots in the opening where you want them and then stick the watering can on (or whatever you decide to decorate with).  Open the slider and use Glossy Accents to make the water drops.

Please click on top photo for link to cut file.

POP-UP House Card

Cartridges:

George and Plantin

This is my take on the pop-up house.  I used Co'rdinations which was not a good idea, it does not score very well.  I did this really quickly to get it posted, so not the best example.  Click on the picture to get the file.

Instructions in pdf format can be downloaded here or

  1. Cut main house and before removing the mat go to the score lines tab and set pressure to minimum and blade depth to 2.  Mark score lines.
  2. Fold all parts on the score lines and glue the window frames on.
  3. Glue the roof together first and then glue the side.
  4. Glue the second part of roof onto house.
  5. Put double sided tape on both bottom tabs.
  6. Draw a faint pencil line at 1 ¼ inches from the fold of the card.
  7. Centre the card on this line with the door side to the bottom (easiest to do with house open)
  8. Remove the other part of double sided tape from the right tab and stick on the pencil line, remembering to centre it.
  9. Fold the house down flat and remove the other piece of the double sided tape from the left tab and while holding the house flat, fold your card over and stick it down.
  10. Embellish to your taste

Enjoy!

LGuild was looking for a bell like the one in SYI and this was my attempt at it.  Click on the picture to download.

This is a project that was in the Spring Issue of Canadian Scrapbooker.  I was sure I could design it in DS and I did :-) I had to use a 12 x 24 mat for the main box, but you can substitute the 12 x 12 for most of the other pages.

Cartridges used: PS, George and SB

Please click here for a pdf file for the instructions.

Thanks to Capadia for the Stair Step cut file.  My cut file includes ONLY the NASCAR banner.  If you would like the stair step cut, please visit Capadia's blog. To download my NASCAR file, please click on the picture.

Cartridge:  Plantin

To get the colours in NASCAR, use scraps of paper, yellow under the first 4 slashes, dark red under the next 2 slashes and the N, light purple under the A and S and blue under the CAR.

I ended up using a corner punch to round the corners as it didn't quite fit and I didn't have time to go back into CDS and fix (last minute rush!! lol)

Please send me feedback if you download my file.  Thank you :-)

M's Project Adapted for DS

Cartridges: SYI, HA, George, Wedding, SB

Paper:  Pink cardstock, Dark Pink cardstock

Ribbon: The ribbon is supposed to go round the left edge of the card and tied in a bow at the front.  It needs to be very flimsy.  (I goofed...DUH! I didn't have the right ribbon anyway!)

I used my Xyron 510 to put the adhesive on the mat, but that is not a good idea.  I need to clean up some of the edges.

I used pop dots to put the doves on with and give it some dimension.  You can get the cut file by clicking on the picture.

Please take a moment to fill out my feedback form and let me know you downloaded it.  Would also love to see what you did with the file.

Masculine card

I am not the best at trying to design cards for the men in my family!  This is what I came up with for my husbands 65th.  The words can be substituted for your own requirements, the welded words are in "shadow" feature and the top letters are regular.  To make sure they fit, I did them first on the same page as the welded letters and adjusted over the top, then copied and pasted to their own page.

Cartridges:
ZooBalloo, SS, Campout, Celebrations

Paper: Daisey Bucket.

I used the shadow feature on all the parts.  The top of the mountains I used Doodlebug Crushed Velvet Flock for snow (could have used a bit more to show up better) and on the tree I used FlowerSoft.  The frame is mounted with pop dots and so is the moose.

If you download my file, please take a moment and fill in my feedback form and  let me know.  Thank you :-)

Crushed Velvet card

Saw a picture that ShelaPavelec posted of a card from Inspired Design and she was asking how the Cricut cut felt.  I suggested using Crushed Velvet powder, so thought I would try and make a card like it.  This is what I came up with.  I didn't have the right ribbon.  Needs to be a lot thinner, the original was red with white edges.  The card is 6" x 6" and I used the crushed velvet on the star, you can't see it too well, but it really looked nice.

Cartridges used: George.

There are little tabs on the red matt behind the scalloped borders and they tuck in between the white and blue scallops.  Tuck the ribbon in under the pattern paper and glue. I put the star on with pop dots for dimension.

Please click on the picture to download, and take a moment to fill out my feedback form.  Thank you :-)

DIAPER ANNOUNCEMENT CARD

Made for MB member Jordana, this is a cute little announcement card.  It is compatible with the baby bug in and done in 2 sizes.

Cartridges used:
George, HA.

I have not made score marks.  All you have to do is align the bottom holes with the top holes and loosely fold, then run a bone folder along the edge.  Tie a piece of ribbon or even brads to attach and slip in a tag and/or photo etc.

Download the file by clicking on the picture and please fill out my feedback form if you download any of my files.

UNICYCLE

Request by a MB member.  It is all George.  The pedal is on a separate tab and you can cut one or 2 as required.  Click on the picture to download the file.  Please leave a comment in my feedback if you download this file.  Thank you.

A6 SIZE ENVELOPE

I made this at the request of a MB member.

Score the 4 1/2" flaps on the side, score at 4 1/2" from the bottom and 9" from the bottom.

On the liner, use a different colour paper, score across at 1" and glue to envelope just at the points on the scallops so the complementing colour shows through the little holes on the scallop.  Make sure the side flaps are glued on the INSIDE of the envelope, so as not to spoil the look of any embellishments you use on it.  The page with embellishments was for the benefit of the MB member and can be deleted or ignored.  The envelope is all George.

FANCY EDGE PAPER CUT

Another cut file inspired by the Creative Festival we went to in Toronto.  This one is for the owner of our LSS where I get to work sometimes and she took me to the show :-) I have placed it on top of a piece of black cardstock so you can see the pattern better.

Cartridges used:
PSB and HA

This one definitely needs a sharp blade!  On my E, it took forever to cut, so just get it started and walk away...lol.

Please click on the photo to download the cut file.

SNOWFLAKE MESH

My friend asked me to make her a snowflake mesh after we saw all kinds of interesting paper at the Creative Festival in Toronto.  This is what I came up with for her.

Cartridges used:
AE, JOTS, GP and SI.

It is pretty close to 12 x 12. Make sure you have a sharp blade in when you cut....LOL.

Hickory Dickory Dock - Mantel Clock

Cartridges used:
George
PS
AK
Doodlecharms

The hands are movable and I used black pearls for the in-between numbers.  I also heat embossed the click face.  I couldn't find any wood looking paper, so I made my own.  Click on the picture to download the cut file.  The clock can be used on its own if you don't want to use the mantel part.

Black and White Xmas Card

Cartridges used:
George
Accent Essentials
StoryBook

I heat embossed the lettering and star.  I meant to Cuttlebug the white mat with either the snowflakes or Swiss Dots, but I forgot :-(

Please click on the picture to download the cut file.

This is the paper folding only part of the bigger file below.  It is all George and finished size of square is 4.75" x 4.75"

Paper Folding.

This took me about a month to create!  The paper folding was quite a challenge.

Cartridges used:
Plantin
George
Accent Essentials
Home Accents.

Paper:  2 sheets of Brown cardstock (or colours of your choice)
1 sheet of double sided patterned paper
1 sheet of striped paper.
2 pieces of Co'ordinations paper, different colours. (I used it for the embossed part and the leaves)

Cuttlebug and embossing folder of your choice. I used Swiss dots.  Enjoy :-)

This is my attempt at a cupcake wrapper.  I have NO idea how big cupcakes are, so I took one of my muffin pan liners, cut li and used that as a template.
Cartridges used:
PS, George and Celebrations.

I found it cut the best with regular cardstock, after 4 tries with Bazzil!

I have now fixed the one heart that is not welded at the bottom on the left in the picture and have added one more heart where the closure is so it looks more even.
I now have a Gypsy file for it. Please click HERE to download

Please let me know if you cut the file :-)  Thanks.  You can click on either picture to download the cut file.

Border inspired by a collar I saw on a blouse.

Cartridges used:
PS, Doodlecharms.

I put a bit too close to the DS cutting margin, so the edges have to be trimmed a bit.  Please click on the picture to download cut file.

And now something different!  LOL.  I don't know about you, but I am fussy about the colour of my kleenex boxes - like them the same colour as the room they are going in!  This one will fit a Kleenex brand box size 9" long, 5" high and 4" deep.  I haven't been very diligent about score marks, but you can tell where it is supposed to be scored.  Have to do some better decoration, just did this quickly to take a pic.  Please click on the picture to download the cit file.  There is an optional bottom to the box that just tucks in.  I did use it on this one.
This also was inspired by a Martha Stewart Border punch, but I added a bit to it.  I have the left side a bit too close to the DS cutting line, so you will have to cut that bit. It is about 11 1/2 " long and just less than 1" deep. Please click on the picture to get the cut file.

  Close Up

This is a border punch inspired by Martha Stewart Doily Border Punch.  It is all PSB and goes from cut mark to cut mark on the mat, so very nearly 12" wide It is just over 1 inch high. Please click on the picture to download the cut file.
Another Border Punch inspired cut file.  This one has a slight problem as the bracket I used was the only single one I could find in the cartridges that I have - it puts vertical cuts on them.  They do not show on the preview, but they do show slightly when cut.  They don't show once the cut is stuck down.
Cartridges used:
Accent Essentials
Plantin SB
Jasmine.
On the original punch the bracket and the diamond are embossed, but I think this looks just as good, and I DID cut this one :-)  Please click on the picture to download the cut file.

This was inspired by a border punch that I saw.

I have not cut this file yet.  It is about 11" wide and just over 2 " high

This is made with PlantinSB.  There is an optional last page, and all the letters are also on a page, not shadowed.

Click HERE for a George Baby Bug compatible version

Another version.  With it being so narrow, can't make the letters the height of the page (well you can, but they would be so skinny they wouldn't work very well!)  I have made a back page in this one to help support the narrow pages.

PlantinSB again.

This is made with Plantin SB, the rectangles are 5 x 7 and the letters make it about 1" wider.  There is a page with just the letters in regular, not shadowed.  I can't cut it cause my friend has my PSB!!
I made this dinosaur at the request of a MBM.  I have not cut it. The one on the left is the one from PDDU and the one on the right is made from George.
ATC Box.

I designed this for a MB member and I have not cut it yet.  There are 2 styles, one with a lid and one with a flap that tucks in.  Score everywhere there is a cut and also at the top of the box part of the flap top one and also at the next smaller piece.  The one with the lid, the lid is slightly larger than the base, but may need tweaking.  If anyone cuts it, I would love to see it.

Click on the mat to download the .cut file.

Golf Bag Birthday card - I have modified this file slightly, so anyone that I have sent this to already may want to download again.

I have now done a baby bug compatible card the same as this one, click here to download it.

Someone requested a cut file for the Bleeding Heart
from WIMG, so made this one quickly with George and Basic Shapes

A corner flourish that I used on a wedding album page. Made with AE at 12 x 12

Materials:
3 sheets double sided cardstock
1 sheet of patterned paper to match for the lid border
1 sheet of matching cardstock for the lid.
Double sided tape.
Decorations of your choice for the lid.
Brads to attach decorations to lid.
Peel-offs to decorate the lid border.
George and Basic Shapes

Cut your double sided cardstock for the first 3 mats.
Cut your matching cardstock for the lid.
Cut the strips for the lid border.

Using double sided tape stick the inside box to the middle centering, then use the double sided tape to adhere to the outside box, again centering.  You only need the tape on two edges of each page.

You can use the squares from the box pages to make flowers or your choice of decorations and also use one of them to line the inside of the lid.

Plantin Schoolbook Version HERE

I have not cut this file yet, designed it for a MBM.  If you download it, please let me know and would love to see what you did with it.

I haven't cut this one yet either, but it looks like it should cut ok.  There are 2 little marks for the fold line.

Album in a Box

Please click on the picture to download the cut file.  I would love to see what you do with this file, so please post a picture if you use it.

at the request of another MB member, I have posted this cut file that I made a long time ago.  It is all George.
